Warehouse Production Automation

JE Berkowitz finishes raw glass products for use in many of the buildings you enter on a regular basis. Large glass panels enter JEB’s warehouse, and floor staff cut, polish, tint, and finish the glass to suit for the order. JEB hired The Studio to build a custom written, automated process capture system that records each step of the finishing process. The CaptureIT application was written for ruggedized, Motorola MC7090 handheld computers used for scanning barcode labels adhered to the glass, then uploads the scanned items to JEB’s already existing manufacturing system.
